Louisiana’s largest free music festival bursts into the streets of the French Quarter with new stages as well as a stellar line up of performers from April 7 through April 11, 2010. The 28th Annual French Quarter Festival takes place on 17 outdoor stages showcasing more music than ever in every conceivable style, including gospel, jazz, funk, classical, cajun and zydeco, brass bands and much more. The 2011 artist line-up includes Waylon Thibodeaux, Charmaine Neville, Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse Revue, Boogieman's Friend, Fats Jazz Cats, and many more local and international stars. One major focal point of the festival takes place in Jackson Square, as great New Orleans restaurants gather to create “World's Largest Jazz Brunch” offering delicious local cuisine. Thousands of music lovers will gather for the exciting weekend of music, food, and fun; make sure you are one of them!
