ended Sunday, December 18, 2011
New Orleans Museum of Art
Mid-City Museum Theatre
The Nola Project continues its successful partnership with New Orleans Museum of Art with their original production of Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet. The tragic tale of two star-crossed lovers comes to life with a 20 person cast of award-winning actors and musicians in NOMA’s Great Hall. The Great Hall is an ideal location for this small scale production because it utilizes its massive columns and marble balconies to create a very exciting, interactive experience. "This NOLA Project collaboration fits in with our mission to inspire the love of art," Museum Director Susan Taylor said. "We are challenging and engaging a new public with this partnership. Performing arts, as well as visual arts, are vital to the cultural livelihood of our city." There will only be six performances on December 8th, 10th, 11th,15th,17th, and 18th, so don’t miss your chance to see this exclusive production. Seating begins at 6:30 pm. Shows begin at 7:30 pm. TICKETS: General Admission: $24, NOMA Members: $12.
