If you are looking for authentic New Orleans jazz and blues, look no further than the Spotted Cat Music Club. With live bands 7 nights a week, the venue offers a variety of local music. A favorite to their stage, Washboard Chaz Blues Trio performs every Friday night from 6- 10 pm. This local band has gained much popularity in the Crescent City playing delta style acoustic blues. With a twist of swing, the trio has a raw, yet traditional sound that will keep you dancing! OffBeat magazine's Blake Thompson promises that "toe-tapping, beer fueled melodies and plaintive vocals are sure to bring a smile to your weary face... Their stripped down interpretations of classic old time blues numbers could only be described as 'deceptively simple.'" Other acts that regularly play at the Spotted Cat include New Orleans Moonshiners, Brett Richardson, and Miss Sophie Lee.
